Piece two of my piece a week series comes from one of the main areas I have been spending time at the moment, almost everyday we wake up and go drive the mountain passes, toge, around the area and look for locations to film. A simple concept but not always the easiest.

As part of some sort of New Years resolution even tho it’s a couple of weeks late I am going to try and create a bunch more of these little designs that I do, somewhat of a poster format, based mainly on typography and generally with no deeper meaning at all.

The newest edition of the CHILL mag has just come out and including some rather small shots I am sitting at a count of 31 images so I’ve added a selection of a few of the bike images from the last year that I was happy to get on paper.

I’ve been thinking more about getting into some more design of physical things, I like designing but it’s all very digital these days so this kind of thing is a fun project to work on. I love bike, especially stripped back this far, there is very little that doesn’t help to going forwards in a true form follows function, plus very little can go wrong with it.

I’ve been editing away on the Macpac footage I shot a while back, we wanted to take the 30 second experience and pull it out little further to really show off a few of the shots.

I’ve just been on to check how some of the largest images I’ve worked on have come out. The panorama is 12 meters wide 2 meters high and the others are on the same scale. I shot the villa and worked a million layers of Photoshop onto that, the panorama and another wall so a very small part of the whole set up but an interesting piece to work on and it’s quite mind bending to start with a 3 dimensional environment thats human scale, capture a 2d photo of it work on it on a 15 inch screen, build it back into a 3d life size space then capture this 2d image of it where you can see it on a screen of whatever size… If that makes any sense.
