As one of those things I’ve always been meaning to do I got a un-cut blank for my next skate deck, I wasn’t exactly sure of how to make it into something and just made some of it up along the way, anyway the shape is kinda what I was skating with Santa Cruz and the graphic is freehand acrylic pen based on the srircha hot sauce bottle that for some reason I thought would work for a graphic on something or other.

Inside the 2015 Winter issue of Adventure magazine there’s an article I put together with a few friends last year. Just a quick clip out of Queenstown we headed north to an amazing area of New Zealand and spent the trip touring and camping in the snow. Get hold of the mag and read the full article.

The new issue of one of my favourite mags just dropped and I’m happy to have this shot of Ben Comber in the Good Times, Bad Times article working the after season at Treble Cone with a miller flip, this was the kind of thing I really wanted to shoot a lot more last year. Looking through the NZ coverage there were so many shots of international pros coming down under and working things that were cool but not absolutely crazy in a way the NZ riders could do but just didn’t.

I’m kinda over park snowboard footage so I understand if your not going to watch this, I didn’t even want to film park but with the way the snow was it became the best idea and I got a little over the top with the editing.

I headed down to the dust to get some moto footage with the boys just out of Timaru for the new season of Airtime, they have gone to half hour show and making a few more changes.

Working with skiers and snowboarders on the same project has positives and negatives, the positive being it can give a different set of outlooks on the same mountain. Charlie Lyons and Will Jackways take time to mind surf the scenery while filming for Big Risk Big Rewards.
