As I continue with the annual invites for Rolleston Square I have gone more contemporary this year while still trying to hold within the style and the constrains of the brand. Bringing the elements together around the square and the shopping bag from the logo.

As a fair majority of my video work for the past couple years has been in the mountains I decided to split my work entirely into snow and no snow so this is the snow part of that. Work from Monster Energy, CHILL Adventures, Volcom, Yeah For It, Frontside Media, World Heli Challenge and more.

At the end of this season I had a few clips left over from working with Will J, a bit of pipe here, a trip to the clubbies there so we got to editing it with some POV footage that Will had from the season to give you this little piece.

With one of those last minute calls I dipped my toe back into the world of nightlife photography with the opening of Engineers Roof Top bar, which is pretty cool as it’s a little different than other stuff going on in Christchurch these days. Check the ret of the album on their facebook

For my third year working with Rolleston Square on their invite / poster design for end of year drink I took the idea of the square a little further and went a touch more contemporary while still working along with what I had done with them before.

I’ve been waiting a while to get hold of this mag as it got sent out a while back but I’ve been moving around so much I didn’t get it sent to my home address. The Quake City Rumbler boys had been hit up by this Australian mag and asked me to come shoot so while here for a few days I got some stuff and we were rewarded with a twelve page spread, definitely the biggest I’ve had in a single article. After a few years of coming back to the CHILL Series it’s nice that something is always different but the weather patterns this year were unexpected, but at least we got good sun on the second day and the young crew is really crushing it. New Zealand skiing has a really strong depth to it right now and every time I’m at a mountain I get reminded of it, either just riding a big rat pack or watching Hank Bilous send it for this comp.
Also Cam and Tom tried their hand at some infomercials, I think they need work but could be fun for next year.

This year the format is all new, just to make it to the comp we have spent the past few weeks with our team of Chalrie Lyons, Will Jackways and myself. It’s kind of a strange situation with very few teams having a completely new edit such as we have but it’s all just a game to see who the two teams that will get to fly at Mt Cook are so I have to ask you to help out and throw a vote our way over at http://worldhelichallenge.com/2014/08/the-way-of-the-lyon/

It’s quite nice watching how many people like your shots when they get shared around by the big guys and stoked that those at Volcom International are even looking at my work.

For a decidedly white day it was a rather fun and mellow comp and for my first time working with Volcom a good chance to get a little more weird on the logo animation.
