As part of some sort of New Years resolution even tho it’s a couple of weeks late I am going to try and create a bunch more of these little designs that I do, somewhat of a poster format, based mainly on typography and generally with no deeper meaning at all.

I was given the chalk drawing for a basic sketch of the Quake City Rumblers logo probably a couple years ago now, its the moped gang my flat mate and a few of his buddies have but I’ve always struggled to get it into a vector the way I would like it, I don’t think this is finished but it’s getting there for a very simplified version.

It’s been a bit hectic to get this site from seeing the range two weeks ago to shooting all the images, working on the site design and code, getting everything all together for the launch but it’s up now at www.yeboi.co.nz.
The idea was to go with something clean and simple without much colour so the bright colours of the products can shine through, organized in a strong two-column grid, and built on a WordPress back end with a few plugins for the cart and other pieces.

Every once in a while I change my logo entirely, it doesn’t really follow a set pattern or evolution, just something that I feel reflects what I’m doing with my design at the time and for now until that time happens again I’m going to run with this baseball inspired handdrawn script.

Just worked up a little vector illustration inspired at the beginning by the Rolling Stones then just evolving into what it is now and maybe its not finished but I am for the night.
