Getting on the road the past few weeks felt really good and even tho we were not entirely ready we had to pull the trigger to make it up to Revelstoke for the FWQ4* these events are always a blast and the level just keeps on going up. Covering the event solo is definitely a stretch but I was able to find a nice little spot to post up and catch a bunch of the runs and was able to create a vid for the Snowledge Blog here.

Layers on layers on layers create a simple and clean look to a complex poster that allow readability from a thumbnail on the web to an A3 poster on a wall. Inspired by the ten years I have been attending the event.

I created a subtle 3d graphic for the poster of the event, with a long list of sponsors and plenty of info needed the imagery had to draw people in but also allow the text to talk to the viewer.

With a lack of imagery for a new event and being away from Auckland when I was creating the design I searched my hard drives for an icon image of the city and found something very simple.

While I was in the New Zealand wakeboard scene I was also creating marketing material for events, these we’re a nice chance to have printed works and the design of posters would often flow into other materials for an event.
